Performance Uses:

Solid Membrane Cleaner ProtecMBC® 1557W is a specialized alkaline cleaner developed for the removal of oils, organics, bio-adhesive films, and other acid-insoluble substances (e.g., silicates, sulfates, etc.).

(1) Suitable for all brands of aromatic polyamide and acetate membranes;

(2) Highly effective in removing oils, organics, biofilms and other acid-insoluble substances from membrane surfaces;

(3) Within the temperature range provided by the membrane manufacturer, increase the temperature for better results;

(4) Solid product, diluted with reverse osmosis water for use;

(5) Generally diluted to 1.0%-1.5%, adjust the pH to 11.0-12.0, cleaning effect is better;

(6) Can be widely used in nanofiltration, microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, such as oil, organic matter, biological mucous membranes and other acid-insoluble matter (such as silicates, sulfates, etc.) fouling cleaning.

Usage:

(1) Check and clean the water tank, pipeline and security filter, and load a new cartridge if necessary;

(2) Inject the appropriate amount of reverse osmosis produced water into the cleaning tank;

(3) According to the calculation of the dosage slowly added to the cleaning tank, with the water pump cycle mixing wash solution, measure pH, such as low add appropriate amount of sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide;

(4) cycle cleaning, depending on the severity of pollution, generally 1-10 hours, such as long time, can be immersed for a certain period of time and then recirculation, the cleaning process to take samples to observe the cleaning effect, i.e., the turbidity of the liquid, the color changes, the presence or absence of flocculent production;

(5) If the pollution is serious, sometimes it is necessary to completely empty the first batch of cleaning fluid to prevent the re-deposition of pollutants, and then re-formulate the cleaning fluid; the cycle process, the appropriate increase in temperature will help the cleaning effect, but do not exceed the specified temperature, pay attention to the constant circulation of the material will lead to a gradual increase in temperature;

(6) In order to achieve the best cleaning effect, ProtecMBC®1557W (alkaline) should be used in conjunction with ProtecMBC®1556W (acidic).
