The chemical cleaning project of the Redstone Solar Thermal Power Station in South Africa was successfully completed

2024-03-26

In March 2024, the 100MW tower-type solar thermal power chemical cleaning project in Redstone, South Africa, undertaken by our company, was successfully completed and passed the acceptance inspection, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent start-up of the entire unit and the realization of grid connection and power generation. The project department overcame the scorching climate in South Africa, did not stop during the Spring Festival, remained at their posts to ensure delivery, and ushered in a brand-new spring in the project construction. With the collaborative efforts of all parties, the quality and delivery targets were successfully achieved.

The Redstone Solar Thermal Power Project is located in the North Cape Town Province of South Africa. After its operation, it is expected to supply approximately 480GWh of electricity to the power grid annually, providing stable power supply for over 200,000 households in South Africa. It is reported that this project is the largest investment project in North Cape Town Province and also part of South Africa's new energy procurement project, which is of strategic significance for achieving South Africa's energy transition goals. South African President Ramaphosa said during his inspection of the project that the engineering quality and technological level of Chinese enterprises have reached the world's leading level. The smooth progress of the project will bring significant benefits to the South African people. As an important achievement of the Belt and Road Initiative cooperation between China and South Africa, the Hongshi Solar Thermal Project not only supports the local economic and social development with green electricity, but also maintains the local ecological balance through green actions.

This project marks the second time that Xingge Company has participated in the cleaning work of a foreign solar thermal power generation project after the Noor solar thermal power generation project in Morocco. To ensure the smooth progress of the chemical cleaning work, the project department attaches great importance to it. Before the chemical cleaning work, in accordance with relevant regulations, norms and standards, multiple special meetings on chemical cleaning were organized to discuss and formulate plans and measures for chemical cleaning. Comprehensive coordination was carried out on the construction progress plan for chemical cleaning, the installation and inspection of temporary systems, and multiple joint inspections by multiple specialties and departments on site were accepted.

In addition, the entire chemical cleaning process strictly adheres to German industrial cleaning standards and is strictly managed on the construction site to ensure that each construction step is carried out in accordance with the standards. Based on the actual operation status on site, we have had multiple scheme exchanges with the owner and continuously updated and improved the cleaning plan. The project team, adhering to the construction standards of "high standards, high quality and high efficiency", and with high-level professional technical deployment, overcame a series of difficulties such as the short construction period, high process requirements and wide construction scope of this project. The project was successfully completed and passed the acceptance inspection in one go. The customer expressed high satisfaction with this cleaning service and fully recognized our professional level and efficient work.

The successful completion of this project has strengthened Xinggri's good reputation and image in the chemical cleaning field along the "Belt and Road" countries, further consolidated the foundation for the company's international development, enriched the company's experience in chemical cleaning for overseas solar thermal power generation projects, and further enhanced the company's comprehensive competitiveness in the industrial cleaning industry. In the future, Xingge Rui will continue to uphold the business tenet of "Everything for the happiness of employees and customers", and with high-quality construction and first-class services, actively expand the international market. It will polish the "Xingge Rui" Chinese industrial cleaning brand along the "Belt and Road", and contribute its own strength to the national "Belt and Road" strategy.
