Product Name: Reverse Osmosis Membrane Cleaner (Acid) 

Performance Uses:

ProtecMBC®1550W is a low pH formulation for the removal of metal hydroxides, calcium carbonate and other types of fouling. It is suitable for use with aromatic polyamide reverse osmosis and microfiltration membranes as well as nanofiltration and ultrafiltration membranes. The excellent cleaning effect extends the operating time and service life of the membranes.

Suitable for all brands of aromatic polyamide and acetate membranes;

Low foaming formula;

Diluent adjusts pH to maintain 2.0-2.5;

Liquid agent to reduce mixing time;

Reusable.

Conditions:

Chemical cleaning is required when the system shows the following signs:

(1) The standardized water production has decreased by 10-15%;

(2) A 10-15% rise in the standardized differential pressure between influent and concentrate;

(3) A 10-15% rise in feed water pressure;

(4) The standardized system desalination rate has decreased by 1-2% or the salt content of the product water has increased significantly.

Usage:(1) Check and clean the water tank, pipeline and security filter, and load a new cartridge if necessary;

(2) Inject the appropriate amount of reverse osmosis water into the cleaning tank;

(3) Slowly add the dosage according to the calculated dosage, circulate the mixed wash solution with a water pump, and measure the pH between 2.0-2.5 (dosage of 1.5%-2.5% or so);

(4) Cyclic cleaning, measuring pH every 5-20 minutes; when the pH changes 0.5 or more, add a certain amount of detergent or acid, until the pH does not continue to rise, indicating the end of cleaning;

(5) If the contamination is serious, it is sometimes necessary to completely empty the first batch of cleaning solution to prevent the re-deposition of contaminants; then re-formulate the cleaning solution;

(6) During the cycle, pay attention to the temperature rise and do not exceed the specified temperature.

For best results, ProtecMBC®1550W should be used in conjunction with ProtecMBC®1551W.

Packaging and Storage: The membrane cleaner ProtecMBC®1550W is a liquid product, generally packaged in 25kg plastic drums or according to customer specific requirements.

Safety Protection: 

Pay attention to labor protection during operation, avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc., and rinse with plenty of water after contact.
