In order to inhibit bacterial growth in membrane systems, systems often use oxidizing biocides with high biocidal capacity. These residual oxidizing chlorine can cause irreversible oxidative damage to many composite membranes and reduce the service life of the membranes. ProtecMBC®1570W is a reducing product mainly used to eliminate the oxidizing free chlorine or chemically combined chlorine mentioned above, which can react with the residual chlorine in a short period of time to eliminate the oxidizing hazards. Therefore, it can be widely used in membrane systems.

Usage:

ProtecMBC®1570W Reverse Osmosis Reducer is a solid product, it is recommended to dilute it with reverse osmosis water to a mass concentration of about 20% and use it up within one week. The specific dosage should be determined by the oxidized free chlorine or chemically synthesized chlorine content of the water. Generally, 1ppm residual chlorine needs to consume 2-3ppm reducing agent. In order to achieve the best reducing effect, the dosing point is best set before the mixer or security filter; dosing equipment material is recommended to use stainless steel, polyethylene, PVC or polytetrafluoroethylene, not recommended to use carbon steel.

Safety Protection:

ProtecMBC®1570W is a strong reducing agent, should be stored separately from oxidizers and acids, do not mix storage. Pay attention to labor protection during operation, avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc., and flush with plenty of water after contact.
