Properties and Uses: SGR0202W Special Cleaning Agent for Heavy Iron Scale is a highly efficient cleaning agent specifically formulated for iron oxide scale, composed of selected special high-efficiency chelating agents, solubilizers, and other components. It can safely and efficiently remove magnetite (heavy iron scale, Fe₃O₄) from the surfaces of boilers, pipelines, and various heat exchangers within a relatively short time, restoring the system's heat transfer efficiency.
Usage Method:
Step 1: Cleaning (Circulation Acid Cleaning)
(1)Dosage of SGR0202W Special Cleaning Agent for Heavy Iron Scale is 5%-30%. The specific usage concentration should be determined based on the actual scale; generally, a dosage of 15%-20% is recommended for customers.
(2)Adjust the pH to 1.5-2.0 using sulfuric acid (If the concentration of agent SGR1302 is 20%, approximately 40kg of 98% concentrated sulfuric acid is required per ton of cleaning solution).
(3)To inhibit system corrosion, add a certain amount of corrosion inhibitor, about 0.3% is sufficient.
(4)The optimal cleaning temperature is 70°C - 85°C.
(5)Based on experiments over 24 hours, 1 ton of cleaning solution (20%) can dissolve about 10kg of heavy iron scale. The specific cleaning time should also be determined by monitoring the total iron and ferric ion (Fe³⁺) concentration changes in the entire system, as well as the color change of the cleaning solution (Depending on the actual scale sample, if the system has severe heavy iron scale, the cleaning time can be extended accordingly).
During the entire cleaning process, please note the following points:
This system contains volatile organic acids, so cleaning should be performed in a sealed system as much as possible. Ensure the site is well-ventilated, and cleaning operators must wear protective masks.
Since the cleaning agent is a compound of several components, maintain a temperature of around 25°C during preparation. When using sulfuric acid to neutralize the system and adjust the pH, filter if any crystals precipitate.
When preparing the cleaning system, add water first, then introduce the specified proportion of SGR0202W, before adjusting the pH value.
Step 2: Passivation (Circulation - Adjust pH of the original cleaning solution)
Use ammonia water or other alkalis to adjust the pH of the cleaning solution to 9. Add a certain amount of hydrogen peroxide or sodium nitrite. Circulate for passivation at 65°C - 70°C.
Note: If the passivation process suggested above is not adopted, the acid cleaning solution must be neutralized before discharge.
Packaging and Storage: SGR0202W is packaged in plastic barrels. It should be prevented from mixing with strong oxidizing agents and strong alkaline substances. Avoid long-term direct sunlight. The shelf life is twelve months at room temperature.
Safety Precautions: Pay attention to labor protection during operation. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Dispose of cleaning solution waste appropriately.
